Signature Combo

Denver Med Spa & Skincare Clinic Face Treatment

Easy.  I love easy.  Especially when it comes to making decisions.  Every time I go out to dinner, I find the menu can be overwhelming.  That’s why I really love to see establishments that offer a combination plate.  Our Signature Combo is a lot like that.

Instead of stressing over what treatment would be a good fit for you, the Signature Combo allows your Esthetician to decide for you.  This treatment is specifically tailored to what you’re your skin needs at the time.  Now, that’s what I call easy!

It starts out like this: your skincare therapist will decide what sort of exfoliation would be best for your current skin condition (and depending on what time of year it is…that choice can and should be different).  The choices are between a dermaplane or microdermabrasion.  Microderm is more aggressive so, if I have a relatively normal to thick skin client, I usually go for this.  But if my client has sensitive or red-prone skin, I will opt for the dermaplane.  The beauty is you don’t have to worry.  The therapist has got you covered.

Once properly exfoliated, nutrition is applied. This comes in a few different forms.  For oily and congested types I apply a Mandelic Peel.  Mandelic is wonderful for regulating oil and removing dark hyperpigmentation from old breakouts, and because it is a large molecule – there is no sloughing or peeling action.  I love this one for the summer.

For my sensitive clients or in the winter months, I usually opt for a sensitive skin peel.  I like mellow blended peels for this.  Something with Lactic Acid and Niacin.  The lactic will hydrate and even skin tone, and the Niacin addresses breakouts and calms redness.  I really lean on this during the winter as our Colorado weather is extreme!

For my clients with a very compromised barrier, I’ll really take it easy.  I call these my “any salsa is always too hot” kind of people.  In this case, I choose from a variety of mellow enzyme masks depending on the season.  The sensation should be active but not stingy or hot.

Once the nutrition has soaked in and then removed, a quick blast of Red Light Therapy is performed.  Red Light is amazing (thank you NASA) as it’s the light wavelength that goes to the deepest layers of skin.  This will promote healing, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and speed the clearing of pigmentation. The perfect ending to a beautiful facial session.

So, if this is your first facial treatment or your 131st, a Signature Combo is an effective and customizable option that you don’t have to think too much about.  It does all the things!
